Who We Are

We are a Namibian economic policy think tank dedicated to promoting sound economic policies for the benefit of all Namibians. Our work is grounded in the principles of individual freedom, limited market interference, and focused government intervention. We believe that these principles, when applied effectively, can drive sustainable development and prosperity for Namibia.

Objectives

The objectives of the Institute are

To promote and advocate for sound economic policies in Namibia;
To be non-political, and non-politically aligned;
To conduct rigorous research and provide actionable policy recommendations;
To engage in informed public discourse to reinforce individual common law and other protected rights, economic freedom, economic sustainability and transparent governance in Namibia;
To collaborate with regional and global think tanks and experts to consider and support policy enhancements, optimisation and public discussions; and
To engage with appropriate government functionaries.

Our Principles

Pro-Markets: We believe in the power of markets to drive innovation, scare resource allocation efficiency, and economic growth. We support policies that enhance market freedom and competition, while protecting against market failures.
Focused Government: We advocate for a focused government role, focusing on addressing market failures, providing public goods efficiently, and ensuring equality of opportunity for all citizens.
